Speedmaster Apollo 13 Silver Snoopy Award
The Speedmaster Apollo 13 Silver Snoopy Award marks the 45th anniversary of NASA's legendary Apollo 13 mission and the Silver Snoopy Award that Omega received from the astronauts upon their safe return to Earth.
As the legend goes, on 17 April 1970, the world watched as the Apollo 13 Command Module landed in the Pacific Ocean after an unexpected crisis occurred 200,000 miles away from Earth. The seventh manned mission in the Apollo programme, the mission was dashed when one of the two oxygen tanks on the Service Module exploded en route to the Moon. The mission was aborted and the astronauts completed a number of mid-course corrections using their on-board Omega Speedmaster back-up timing device in order to achieve the trajectory that would allow them to re-enter Earth's atmosphere.
The case and movement are the same as the standard Moonwatch Professional, measuring 42mm in stainless steel and housing a manual-wind Calibre 1861 chronograph movement. The dial of the Speedmaster Apollo 13 Silver Snoopy Award is inspired by the black and white Peanuts
comic strips by cartoonist Charles M. Schulz. The white dial contrasts the black varnished Moonwatch-style hands and the polished black ceramic bezel. The bezel's tachymeter scale is filled with SuperLumiNova, as well as the central hour, minute and chronograph seconds hands. SuperLuminova also frames each of the hour-indexes that are filled with black varnish, and the Snoopy graphic on the dial.

Two inscriptions decorate the Snoopy Speedmaster dial. Fourteen small squares between zero and 14 seconds on the dial come together to form a long comic strip, with the words "What could you do in 14 seconds?" The question is a nod to the 14-second midcourse correction that the Apollo 13 astronauts timed with their Omega Speedmaster back-up timing device. Then, at the centre of the dial is the quote, "Failure is not an option". Playing NASA Flight Director Gene Kranz, actor Ed Harris famously said the inspirational phrase in the 1995 film Apollo 13
. Although the phrase was coined in Hollywood, Gene Kranz later adopted it as the title of his autobiography and travelled all over the world giving a motivational lecture entitled, "Failure Is Not an Option".

Turning the Snoopy Speedmaster over reveals yet another reason to get this watch. The caseback is dark blue enamel sprinkled with shimmering silver powder, and is set with a sterling silver Snoopy medallion that resembles the Silver Snoopy Award pin that Omega received in 1970. The overall effect gives the impression that Snoopy is floating in space. "SILVER SNOOPY AWARD", "EYES ON THE STARS", "45TH ANNIVERSARY", "0000/1970" and "APOLLO XIII" are engraved in the stainless steel caseback in black.
Available in September 2015 as a limited edition of 1,970 individually numbered timepieces, price is $7,350.

Speedmaster '57
Inspired by the CK2915 of 1957, Omega redesigns the Speedmaster '57 with a new sandwich dial and Broad Arrow hands. The 41.5 mm stainless steel case is polished and brushed to complement the brushed bezel. The box-form sapphire crystal reveals a black dial with white and beige print dial indications and Broad Arrow hands. We first saw Omega use a sandwich dial (cutout/recessed markers) on the Seamaster 300 Master Co-Axial; Omega revisits the aesthetic with a sandwich dial filled with vintage SuperLuminova that emits a green luminescence. The Speedmaster '57 is powered by the OMEGA Co-Axial calibre 9300, a 54-jewel self-winding column-wheel chronograph movement with a silicon balance spring. The new Speedmaster '57 is available on a strap or bracelet and is available in July 2015.

Dark Side of the Moon Collection
A breakthrough model in 2013
, the wildly popular Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon is now a watch collection of timepieces crafted from a single block of ceramic. This year adds four new DSOTM models: Black Black, Sedna Black, Pitch Black and Vintage Black. Each of these new models features a black ceramic caseback ring with matte chromium nitride marks and the collection name, "Dark Side of the Moon". Each of these new black ceramic timepieces is powered by the OMEGA Co-Axial calibre 9300, a 54-jewel self-winding column-wheel chronograph movement with a silicon balance spring.
The Speedmaster DSOTM "Black Black" is the blackout variation with a 44.25mm polished and brushed black ceramic case, a matte black ceramic dial and a black ceramic clasp on a black coated nylon fabric strap. The Speedmaster DSOTM "Sedna Black" combines black ceramic with 18-carat Sedna gold. The 44.25 mm brushed black ceramic case features an 18-carat Sedna gold bezel, 18-carat Sedna gold applied indexes and hands. Similar to last year's Speedmaster Professional Apollo 11 45th Anniversary LE with gray-brown dial, the marks on the DSOTM Sedna Black matte grey dial are created using laser ablation whereby a laser removes the material surrounding the name, subdial numerals and hour markers. Vintage SuperLumiNova coats the central hour, minute and gold-plated chronograph seconds hands as well as the indexes and the two dots at 12 o'clock. The DSOTM Sedna Black is presented on a black leather strap with a brushed ceramic deployant clasp. Available in August 2015, price is $15,000.

White Side of the Moon
Apparently, the DSOTM captivated the attention and opened the wallets of an entirely unexpected demographic to the Speedmaster collection. In response, Omega is extending its ceramic know-how to introduce the White Side of the Moon for ladies. The 44.25mm brushed and polished white ceramic bezel has polished white ceramic bezel with matte chromium nitride tachymeter scaled polished white ceramic pushers. Another distinguishing feature are the 18-carat white gold hands and applied indexes. Seamaster Ploprof 1200M Co-Axial Master Chronometer

The Ploprof 1200M Co-Axial Master Chronometer houses the 39-jewel Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8912 automatic movement with a rhodium-plated rotor and bridges, as well as decorated with Geneva stripes, blackened screws, blackened barrels and a blackened balance wheel. Seamaster Aqua Terra James Bond
Finally, in anticipation of the SPECTRE
movie scheduled to release in November 2015, Omega created its seventh James Bond limited edition wristwatch. This time, the interlocking dial logos are inspired by the Bond family coat of arms. Also on the dial is a whimsical nod to the watch's resistance to magnetic fields over 15,007 gauss.
However, the most striking design is the skeletonised rotor of the calibre 8507 automatic movement that is laser cut into the shape of the James Bond gun barrel. Undoubtedly, sometime in the near-future a James Bond nerd will remove his watch to reveal the rotor and recount how the famous gun barrel sequence was created by Maurice Binder in 1962 for the opening titles of the first Bond film Dr. No
; further, the gun barrel sequence has featured in every franchise film ever since. The center of the rotor is decorated like a centerfire ammunition cartridge with the name, "James Bond" engraved inside the rim.
The Seamaster Aqua Terra James Bond is an individually numbered edition of 15,007 pieces that delivers in a special presentation box with both a blue coated nylon fabric strap (shown) and stainless steel bracelet. The presentation box also contains a strap-changing tool and collector's loupe. Available in July 2015, price is $7,350.
